Jiffy Lube Sucks

I take my car (Lexus RX350) in for an oil change which they are now overcharging for ($45.99). I have a $10.00 off coupon and still end up paying $36.

But that's not the source of my anger. It's the sales routine they put you through.
Is anyone else tired of how they try to shame you into a dozen or so extra service items.
If I had said yes to everything I'd be spending $800 at Jiffy Lube .... maybe more.
They have a cute way of bringing you the cabin air filter carefully making sure the lose debris is still laying on the filter to give it an extra dirty look.

Remember $19.95 - in and out in 15 or less?

The last time I went to Jiffy Lube they told me I needed new wiper blades.

I had just put new ones on the previous day.

No I don't want $20 (but it would be nice). I'm tired of getting the interrogation trying to sell me all those expensive add ons. They wanted to sell me special SUV oil.

I stopped doing my own oil changes because it was inexpensive, but at $45 I think I may resume the DIY. Oh and synthetic ...... $86

You should bring your Amway presentation and tell them you would love to buy several items from them....as long as they give you a couple of minutes of their time and for the effort pull the posey board out of your trunk and start getting into your pyramid presentation. Just for kicks get an amway "Diamond Club Member" name tag and put it on your cardigan sweater, handing out magazines and shaking hands with all the grease monkeys when you climb out of your Lexus shouting shit like "Do you want to drive a Lexus?" or "Would you like to make $5000 a month without even trying?"

Be sure to have some bogus $15,000 commission checks made up to show them as well.
